course description

stage 1( research)
-Understanding of trends how they come about, with many influences as:
music, art, graphics, films, colour, fabrics, fashion on internet, world events, ..... traditions, other cultures, also going back as far as possible through history, we will also explore vintage clothing and their reoccurrence in todays trends and important icons it has set.
Try to educate the children to understand and recognize trends and to overcome the need to always be in fashion, using their own style!

stage 2 ( development)
We will explore together all these areas, using different means available to us:

i.e.... visiting special workshops, and companies that make these clothes, accessories, prints, just to see the way its all done, go to shops, fashion shows, visit magazines studios, explore designing with different methods, sketching, collages, computer drawing..  (see people designing on computer ), touch fabrics and see colours learn how to distinguish their qualities

stage 3 ( realization)
Final Projects include:

Create our own style using:

1 A workbook with a collection of trends; materials, colours, c.d. covers, film icons, any photos...anything personal to you, to use for your style

2 Customizing clothes, felpe, jeans, T-shirts, shirts, sport shoes, hats, bags.... things we have and will love to personalize for our own style.... we will learn to cut and sew, even mixing different fabrics, using a sewing machine, or by hand, we could also paint shoes, change a hat, transform T-shirts into dresses or tops or even make a team T-shirt, working with suppliers where we can to get badges or pins made...whatever you need  to create your style...then...
Afterwards do a fashion look book (photos) and a fashion show/exhibition of your work, explaining your style

3 Create our own "style blog" where we develop the understanding of choice to help us make and confirm our style and communicate it
